Tyler Teague and Rylie Green were selected to represent LHS at Boys & Girls State this summer! Due to covid restrictions, students participated in the virtual event this week.

When asked about the experience, Tyler responded: "Boys state was amazing! I got to meet people of all different backgrounds from all over our state, while participating in elections and running for government. It was so cool to learn about the government and how it works and I’m glad I had the opportunity to have this experience even though it was virtual." Rylie stated: "Girls state was awesome! I learned a lot of new things about our government that I never knew about and made a lot of friends around the state of Arkansas. I’m so happy to have been picked to take part in this amazing event and I recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about our government."

Tyler had the opportunity to campaign for office within Boys State and was elected to City Council and the House of Representatives. We are so proud of our LHS seniors and how they represented our school and community at this statewide event.
