I graduated from Mansfield High School in 1994 and obtained my BA in journalism from Arkansas Tech University in 1998. After spending five and one-half years working in both print and broadcast news, I made a huge career change, and have never regretted it!. In 2005, I began the two-year journey to become a teacher through the then Arkansas Department of Education’s Non-Traditional Licensure Program (NTL). That fall, I began my first teaching assignment at Western Yell County High School.
