7/8 Literacy, MS Drama director
I graduated from Mansfield High School in 1994 and obtained my BA in journalism from Arkansas Tech University in 1998. After spending five and one-half years working in both print and broadcast news, I made a huge career change, and have never regretted it!. In 2005, I began the two-year journey to become a teacher through the Arkansas Department of Education’s Non-Traditional Licensure Program (NTL). That fall, I began my first teaching assignment at Western Yell County High School in Havana, AR. Taught English, Reading, and Oral Communications at WYC for seven years before moving in 2012 to my alma mater, Mansfield High School. During my six years at MHS, I taught English I, PreAP English I, English II, Drama, and Oral Communications, as well as served as the drama director. Summer of 2018 came and with that, the opportunity to teach at Lavaca Middle School. Currently, I teach 7/8 literacy and am the drama director to a great group of students!
